FAQ

  • 78 hours (Thursday 12 noon - Sunday 6 pm)

  • You can finish your ride even after Sunday, 17th May. The checkpoints won’t be supported after that and you are responsible to return the tracker. A fee of 150€ will be charged if the tracker isn’t returned to us.

  • Pre-event dinner on Wednesday evening (not included).

    Cinnamon rolls + coffee Thursday morning (included).

    Alk.-free Beer at the finish line (included).

  • No drafting.

    Help and support can be used once it’s equally available to everyone.

    For example, with a mechanical issue, no other participant should help you. Go to the nearest bikeshop, fix it and get back on track. Bring your tools and spare parts, which can be necessary. Likewise, pre-booking of accommodation for your trip, prior to the start, is prohibited. Also, your friends and family are not allowed to wait for you during the ride and help you out with food or clothes. Bring all your stuff on your bike.

  • During the event, each participant is responsible for finding and booking their own accommodation along the route.

    This is not done in advance, which would not correspond to the “unsupported” idea. Instead, the participants find accommodations while active in the event, and when best suits them.

    Note: planned bivouacking. A planned overnight stay outdoors, even with only a bivy bag or sleeping mat, is considered camping and is prohibited in Bavaria, except in emergencies.

    8. No bullshit goodies, like flyers or even more bottles. We try to avoid waste.

  • Gravel bike with tire clearance of min. 40mm.

    Gearing: 1:1 or even lower e.g. Sram: 40/10-44 You will be happy if there is one gear left, and you don’t get an extra finisher gift if you finish with a 50 tooth chainring.

  • One small bag/backpack per participant can be deposited at the start/finish.

    No bike cases or similarly sized objects.

    If there is sufficient lead time, bike boxes can be provided for return transport. Please contact us at least 4 weeks before you need the bike box.

  • Inform the event organizer immediately (see emergency contact).

    The return to the start/finish is organized by each participant themselves.

    In thee event of an accident, the organization team is available via the emergency contact.

  • NEVER turn off the tracker. Turning off the tracker will lead to a DSQ (disqualification).

    The battery capacity is controlled independently by each participant. Normally you don’t have to charge the tracker if you finish by Sunday. Make sure you have a charger with you, just in case.

    The tracker is placed on the bike or in the jersey/backpack.

    In case of loss of the tracker, a fee of 150€ must be paid.

    The tracker must be returned immediately at the end of the event.

  • We provide the gpx-file some weeks before the start. After that route changes are still possible.
